I am a new member here & am looking forward to meeting new contacts and seeing all the amazing artwork that is found here! I am an emerging artist  creating  Steel INSECTS & am open to other ideas ( currently thinking of starting work on wildlife & birds).  I consider it carving (opposed to sculpting ) as I  carve the metal & rebar with grinders.  I use recycled steel & rebar in most of my work and do not paint them anymore but do use a clear lacquer that does slow down the rust that will happen if the critters are left outside in the garden.
